Anita Worthan
Minister of Music and Other Arts

Anita Worthan became Minister of Music and Other Arts on August 1, 2003.  Anita is a graduate of Shorter College where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education, cum laude.  While at Shorter, Anita sang with the Shorter College Chorale, the Madrigal Singers and the Shorter Women’s Chorus.  She also taught piano in the College Preparatory Department.  She comes to us after having served as a music teacher in the Rome City and Cobb County public school systems for a total of seven years.  After which she became a stay-at-home mom and continued teaching piano privately.  Before coming to Kennesaw United Methodist Church, Anita served as a church musician in several churches in the north Georgia area.  Anita and her husband Tony joined our church family in 1997 where she became active in the music ministries directing the King’s Ringers hand bell choir and the Chorister Children’s Choir.  Anita and Tony have four sons:  Will, Ben, Tom and Sam.  Anita brings joy, talent and enthusiasm to her work.
