Rev. Emily Case was born in Iowa, but moved to Acworth, GA at age nine. She grew up as a member of Acworth United Methodist. Graduating from North Cobb High School, she was active in Fast Pitch softball and Model UN. She continued to pitch at Queens University of Charlotte. In 2002, she graduated with a degree in Political Science and History. Moving back to Atlanta, she spent worked as the Activities Director of Wesley Woods Towers while she followed her call to lay ministry at St. Luke UMC. She began and nurtured a youth group while serving on several other committees. Eventually she left Wesley Woods to become Event Coordinator at ELI®, a Corporate Compliance Training Firm. Additionally, she served as the Director of Young Adult Ministries at North Springs UMC in Sandy Springs. Attending Candler School of Theology from 2006-2009, she graduated and became pastor of Emerson UMC.
