Karol was born
in New York. After receiving a degree from Texas Women’s University
and working as a nurse for seven years, she returned to school and
earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Kennesaw State University
in Early Childhood Education. Karol taught fifth grade in Paulding
County for 2 years. She has been a member of KUMC for 5 years and
she has served as a volunteer in many areas ranging from the nursery
to Vacation Bible School to a UMW circle chairperson. She has been
married to her husband, Sheldon, for 12 years and they have two
precious children, Matthew and Ansley.
