Born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on
Friday, October 13, 1944. Graduated from Fulton High School
in 1962. Attended Southern Tech 1962-1964. Member of U.S.
Navy 1964-1966. Attended LaGrange College 1966-1968,
graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Attended
Candler School of Theology 1968-1971, graduated with a
Master of Divinity. Received a Doctorate of Ministry from
McCormick Theological Seminary in 1991. Served churches in
North Georgia since 1967. Married to the former Peggy
McPherson of Clarkdale, Georgia. Proud father of three
wonderful children: Wallace Hugh Wheeles of Douglas, Ga.
Wesley Morgan (resides in Heaven) and Leigh Anne Lowery of
Elberton , GA.
