Care Giving Ministries – A special ministry of Christians caring for people in difficult
experiences. This ministry includes Christian Care giving and Stephens Ministers.

Benevolence Ministry – A group charged with providing hospitality for memorial and funeral
services. This group cares for our congregation by providing meals for the family following

Gaines Park Ministry – Once a month we travel to Gaines Park to provide their Sunday
afternoon Worship service. We need help planning services, singing, leading worship, and
enjoying fellowship. Have a heart for older adults? Then, this is the ministry for you!

Construction Ministries – Whether we are building a Habitat for Humanity House, a new
building for MUST or a host of other projects, our Construction Ministries conduct large annual
projects. Good with a hammer? Come join us!

M.U.S.T. – We work closely with MUST ministries to provide food, toiletries, clothing and more
to those with needs in our area. We always need help transporting the items to MUST in
Marietta as well as with other ministries at the centers.

P.U.P.S. (Pets Uplifting People’s Spirits) – Volunteers share their pets at nursing homes, special
children’s care facilities, and rehabilitation hospitals to encourage trust, movement, speech,

Shiloh Food Pantry – An opportunity for service to our community. KUMC is in partnership
with Shiloh United Methodist Church to feed our community. Volunteers needed once a
month to purchase groceries, bag groceries, pick up breads, and assist in manning the food
pantry once per month. The pantry is open the first and third Saturdays of the month!

United Methodist Children’s Home – Located in Decatur, The Children’s Home houses
children for many reasons. From transitional family housing to a group home focused
ministry to other children’s outreach programs, the Children’s Home is a great place to
volunteer.

Murphy Harpst – A residential home for adolescents who have suffered abuse. Murphy
Harpst is a wonderful example of how our denomination can affect good in the world. This is
an amazing place of treatment, healing, and the love of God.

Wesley Woods Homes – Wesley Woods is our UM ministry to the aged. Housing hundreds of
seniors in Retirement Communities, Assisted Living Centers and Nursing Centers, Wesley
Woods cares for seniors with dignity and grace. With locations from Athens to Augusta to
Decatur, this is a vital and thriving ministry in North Georgia.

Blood Drives – At different times throughout the year, we host a Red Cross Blood Drive at
Kennesaw UMC. Help is needed to call potential donors, to set up, to staff the snack tables
