Share the news about a Parkinson support
group forming at Kennesaw United
Methodist.
We invite people with Parkinson's
disease, and their families, to attend a
Parkinson's support group meetings at Kennesaw United
Methodist Church, 1801 Ben King Road,
Kennesaw, GA.
With more than four and a half million
diagnosed Americans, Parkinson's is one
of the most common diseases of the
nervous system. It affects more people
than Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular
Dystrophy, and Lou Gehrig's diseases
combined. While the incidence is
highest in people over fifty years of
age, there is a significant number of
people diagnosed in their 30's and 40's.
Parkinson's disease requires adjustment
in almost every aspect of a person's
life. Support groups provide help and
information to facilitate living with
Parkinson's , to obtain educational
materials, to participate in programs
and to share experiences in a
comfortable environment. Our group is
an affiliate of the American Parkinson's
Disease Association, the largest grass
roots organization providing funds for
research and patient and caregiver
education and support.

in contact with this group. This group
is open to those with Parkinson’s and to
their care takers.
